Gabber Modus Operandi join forces with animator Rimbawan Gerilya and choreographer Siko Setyanto to create a 45 minute-long 3D animation video mixtape.
An AM radio transmission embedded in a stray satellite is captured by advanced beings. It contains a glimpse of the hope and resilience of a struggling civilization. These beings sent an envoy along with a fleet of spaceships to observe and nurture this peculiar culture born of tension and hardships.
The genetically modified humanoid envoy begins his exploration of planet Earth in a cultural melting pot; a textile market. There he finds his first audience as he tells fantastical stories about an almighty angelic being who observes, records, and inspires the course of humanity. This angel speaks in a universal language of pure expression. He understands humanity's struggles with its own animal instincts, its short lifespan, and an inefficient inter-generational transfer of knowledge and wisdom. Thus the angel aims to inspire the best of what humanity could be despite its shortcomings.
The story continues in a torrent of meaning and value unaffected by chronology or structure: Accumulation of wealth and altruism, exploration of technology and spirituality, fake news, self-discovery, musical endeavours, plague and social isolation, competition and cooperation, and a grand celebration. Along the way, the characters and storytellers become blurred and irrelevant. Only the spirit of hope and optimism persists.
