The Society for Nontrivial Pursuits (S4NTP) creates audiovisual systems using devices, sensors, analogue electronics, and software synthesis for experimentation within installation, performance, and the point at which they overlap.

Inspired by complex behaviours, whether in computer coding or social systems, the S4NTP is made up of a dozen designers, builders, and programmers previously or currently involved with the class Generative Art / Computational Art at UdK Berlin. The collective has presented work at festivals and institutions such as transmediale, Distopie (Istanbul), the CCCB (Barcelona), and ZKM (Karlsruhe).
