Sara Ross holds a PhD from Osgoode Hall Law School, an LLM from the University of Ottawa, an LLB and BCL from the McGill University Faculty of Law, a BA Honours in Anthropology from McGill University, and a BA in French and Spanish with Distinction from the University of Alberta.

During her law degrees she was Editor-in-Chief of the McGill Law Journal, and later clerked at the Federal Court. Dr. Ross, a licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario. She is currently a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at the Schulich School of Law of Dalhousie University.
