With a handful of releases and her gravitational live sets, experimental producer object blue has proven her ability to stimulate both the body and the brain.

object blue was born in Tokyo and raised in Beijing, where she attended an English-speaking school, including a course on global music that opened her up to polyrhythms. While studying literature in London, seeing Björk in concert became the pivotal moment that pushed her to pursue a career in music.

In 2018, the producer released her debut EP Do you plan to end a siege? on TT and its follow-up Rex on Let’s Go Swimming. With a busy touring schedule – including performances at Unsound and Atonal – object blue proved she's a force onstage just as much as in the studio. A rising profile led to a commissioned soundtrack for the Vivienne Westwood SS20 collection, a Rinse FM residency, and slots at Primavera Sound and Sónar Hong Kong.

In 2019, she released her most personal work yet, the self-released Figure Beside Me EP.

object blue kept busy in 2020, having released the mini mixtape vol. 1 with edits of Ariana Grande and Ashanti, an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, and Hyperaesthesia, a collaborative EP created with DJ/producer TSVI, released by London label Nervous Horizon.
