Osaka's Violent Magic Orchestra are an extreme supreme visual art music project in which techno, metal, industrial, and noise are harmoniously integrated and presented in a blinding light, like a luminous, verminously gnarled Aphex Twin dredged from a black hole. In 2023, they performed at CTM Festival, transforming Berghain into a hardcore pit of necro-gnosis. Now we’re bringing them back for one night of pure sonic chaos.

Violent Magic Orchestra sounds like black metal meets Kraftwerk and Aphex Twin invaded by Bxrxum with a total power consumption of 5000Watts – which is equivalent to 60 amplifiers. Naturally, large venues and festival sets consume even more power. V.M.O. have ravaged audiences at events such as Roadburn Festival, BANGFACE, Brutal Assault, Incubate festival, and Le Guess Who?, as well as leaving innocent bystanders devastated at countless venues throughout Europe and  Asia. They also appeared at the two-day installation/party of Asian Dope Boys/Tianzhuo Chen's Sheepman at the Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival in 2021.

Opening the night will be Kentaro Hayashi, an Osaka-based sound engineer who released a 2021 debut album Peculiar on Opal tapes. Hayashi's work is characterised by experimental noise that stirs like a new life form, interpretating the possibilities of electric and experimental music, from abstract techno and mutant drum and bass.
