Wesley Goatley is a sound artist and researcher in critical data aesthetics. Through installations, software artworks, and performance, his work explores the politics and ideologies of data, and how critical artistic practice can expand our understanding of it.
He regularly exhibits internationally, with recent shows in South Korea, the Netherlands, and Canada. Alongside this, he gives regular talks and workshops on the subject of critical data aesthetics, a methodology he is developing through a PhD scholarship from the University of Sussex Humanities Lab. He is currently Visiting Lecturer in Sonic Media at the University of Brighton, and an Associate Lecturer on the Interaction Design Communication MA at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
