Ferry Roseboom was born in the sixties and was thus a post-punk. Since there was "No Future" back then, DIY was the only way to go.
That’s why he, after a short career in journalism, started a record label in 1996. Now considered Holland’s premier independent label, it is backed by a small legion of supporters who offer a monthly contribution in return for a small gift. Together with a group of friends, Roseboom founded Into The Great Wide Open in 2009, a pop cultural boutique festival run on a non profit basis and kept afloat by 100 ‘Lighthouse keepers’ who donate money and knowledge.
