Maro Beriashvili’s work begins with an attentive ear toward the textures of the everyday and the natural world, transforming small sounds, resonances, and frequencies into expansive audio environments. Trained first as a flautist and now studying composition, the Tbilisi composer carries the instrument’s breath-like voice into a broader language of texture and timbre. Deeply influenced by choral music, she’s drawn to harmonies that seem almost vocal in their construction, allowing layers of sound to gather and hover like voices remembered from a distant room. Alongside composition and interdisciplinary collaborations, she works in sound design and dialogue editing for film and games.
