Cinna Peyghamy is a composer and sound artist based in Paris. Born in France to Iranian parents, Peyghamy places the classical Persian drum at the centre of his research. But this is no gesture of preservation. Through real-time electronic processing, he extends the instrument’s voice into unfamiliar terrain — letting rhythm stretch into texture, and gesture dissolve into signal. Between acoustic and electronic, memory and mutation, his latest album, Music For Tombak And Synth released in 2026 on Nicolas Jaar’s Other People imprint, set the base for a sound with rhythmic foundation and resonating with cultural depth.
