CORIN »Resonance«

Premiere | CTM 2026

Developed through Berlin’s Forecast Mentorship program and premiered at CTM 2026, CORIN's premiere of new work »Resonance« emerges under the artistic mentorship of Sote.

Haunted by future folklore,  »Resonance« work converges into a portal built from speculative fiction, ancestral memory, and hyperdigital production: ambient drift, warped polyrhythms, and long hikes through the uncanny valley. CORIN’s performance creates harmonic and rhythmic systems within non-Western musical ecologies by sampling the kulintang, a Filipino precolonial gong chime instrument: alternate futures tethered to ancestral memory.

Raised in Australia by Filipino parents and trained from childhood in classical piano, CORIN blends trance, baroque-inspired ambience, and hyper-digital textures with her classical background to create hybrid sonic worlds where western classical, contemporary electronic, and non-western forms converge. Her works frequently reference pre-colonial and diasporic imaginaries, recasting cultural memory within frameworks of synthetic abstraction and world-crafting. Her releases include Manifest (Bedouin Records, 2019), Enantiodromia (UIQ, 2021), Araw (2021), and her 2023 sophomore album Lux Aeterna (UIQ). She's performed internationally at festivals such as Berlin Atonal, CTM Festival, and Lunchmeat, and at venues including Berghain, Palais de Tokyo, and the Sydney Opera House. Beyond her solo work, she collaborates across video, theatre, and installation, and hosts a bi-monthly show on NTS Radio. She was a mentee in the 2025/26 Forecast Mentorships under the guidance of Iranian-American music composer and sound artist Sote.
