Jump Cut #2 paired Dana Gingras with Montreal-based electronic musician Marie Davidson, and Paris-based Canadian video artist Sabrina Ratté. Treating the body like a living sculpture, the emphasis here is on capturing the minutiae of movement and morphing the human body back and forth between a virtual body. This dialogue is coupled with sound to create a sense of an altered corporeal reality.
Jump Cut #2 was premiered at MUTEK.ES festival in May 2021. It was presented again within CTM Festival 2022.
