CTM x WeSA

Collaboration, Berlin – Seoul, 2025/2026

Founded in 2014, WeSA has grown into a year-round institution that combines its annual festival with the WeSA Academy, a platform for workshops, studios, and performance spaces that nurture and support emerging Korean artists. Their open-call system for emerging artists to exhibit and perform throughout the year provides studio access, mentorship, and showcase opportunities beyond their main festival.

The cross-collaboration project began in Seoul in November 2025 with a four-day mini festival at WeSA operated venue THILA Ground. The programme featured performances and workshops by Berlin-based artists Jessica Ekomane, Thomas Ankersmit, and Jan St. Werner, plus Sara Persico performing both solo and premiering a specially conceived collaboration with Soul-based artist Tohal Kyna.

Three more Seoul-based artists also featured in the programme: WeSA founder GAZAEBAL, Yetsuby, and ABOPF. These four Seoul artists also appear at CTM 2026. Next to solo performances by GAZAEBAL, Yetsuby and ABOPF, the programme will feature the presentation of the final stage of the collaboration between Tohal Kyna and Sara Persico.
