The commissioned works premiere at CTM Festival in Berlin, and are later broadcast in Deutschlandfunk Kultur’s Klangkunst programme in the form of a radio piece. The ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Service) also presents the works via one or more of its platforms: the Ö1 Zeit-Ton or Ö1 Blaue Stunde (Kunstradio) radio shows, and/or the ORF musikprotokoll im steirischen herbst festival in Graz. Subsequently the world remain available for streaming online via the websites and apps of Deutschlandfunk and ORF for at least one year.
Over the years, the Radio Lab commissions have additionally been supported through contributions from the Goethe-Institut, as well as the SHAPE+ and tekhné networks, who were co-funded by the programme Creative Europe of the European Commission.
