WAU

Located on the ground floor of the HAU2 theatre, site of many of CTM festival's events, the WAU provides a convenient coffee, lunch, and dinner meeting place for festivalgoers. The bar stays open throughout each performance evening for a late-night drink.

Burgermeister

Kreuzberg’s Burgermeister is located under the elevated train tracks at Schlesisches Tor. As the name suggests, they specialize in burgers of all kinds. The BBQ burger is arguably the best in Berlin.

Hamy Cafe

Best Vietnamese food around Hermannplatz and in Berlin. While their extensive menu offers everything from soups to fragrant teas, it’s the Tagesmenu (Daily Specials) that is the easy option here. Priced at 4,90€, this menu changes slightly every day and you can bet that for the price you won’t find better Vietnamese anywhere else in the city.

This very original, small Canadian pizzeria doesn't skimp when sprinkling eccentric toppings onto gigantic pizzas. Located in a room in the basement with a large bar from which you can watch the pizza being baked.

Turkish Market

This small Sudanese imbiss has two locations in Neukölln. All dishes are under €7. The falafel and halloumi sandwiches, a widespread Berlin favorite, are distinguished from the Mediterranean style by their mouth-watering peanut sauce.

Café-Bar Datscha

The Datscha in Berlin Friedrichshain is a cool café-bar with Russian Chic. Here you will get Russian crepes and pancakes come with cottage cheese or cream cheese, plus a sausage, sour cream and potato pancakes. Also worth mentioning is that all food is homemade, and even the salmon is pickled in the cozy datscha itself.

John Muir

Bellmann's

This well-kept secret (formerly Feldman's, named after the composer Morton) on Reichenbergstrasse in Kreuzberg plays vinyl and serves virtuoso cocktails into the wee hours of the morning. It's not labeled, and you often have to ring a bell to get in.
