Paul Prudence is a London-based artist and audiovisual performer whose practice prioritizes generative video environments and acousmatic sound. His work, which has been shown and performed internationally, focuses on the ways in which sound, space and form can be crosswired to create live-cinematic, visual-music experiences.
Paul is a contributing writer to both Holo and Neural, two printed magazines that explore the intersections of media art, technoculture and computational creativity. He also maintains the blog Dataisnature, which explores the interrelationships between natural processes, computational systems and procedural-based art practices. At CTM, Prudence will be joining forces with installation artists Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand, and acoustic physicist Alexander Miltsen in the production of the commissioned work “Force Field”, which uses sonolevitation to acoustically levitate a water droplet.
Paul Prudence appears at CTM 2016 with the kind support of the Creative Industries Fund NL (Stimuleringsfonds).
