Berlin newcomer Peggy Gou is a DJ and producer whose sets run the gamut from classic Chicago house to Detroit techno, acid and more eclectic picks. Born in South Korea, Gou moved to London as a teenager and took up DJing and producing as a student at the London College of Fashion.
Relocating to Berlin after a stint at Harper’s Bazaar, 2016 saw her fast-track her way onto the scene with a slew of mixes and no less than four EPs, including Day Without Yesterday / Six O Six for Phonica's in-house label and the Seek for Maktoop EP on Technicolour. The two 12-inches were bookended by the two-part Art of War on Radio Slave's REKIDS label, which also featured a pair of remixes from Galcher Lustwerk and Terekke. Ranging from warm, sleek house to darker techno, they showed an artist just starting to feel her way into her own sonic point of view.
