LUZ is a DJ and the founder of Room 4 Resistance, a Berlin-based queer femme forward collective focused on community-building and creating safer space & visibility for underrepresented artists in dance music. R4R runs parties at ://about blank, curates panels and workshops to promote women, gender queers, non-binaries, trans, black and POC artists. The initiative aims to share knowledge, explore the political dimensions of the dance floor, and create bridges between different communities.

In addition to her training as a film director, Luz has been deeply involved in the electronic music scene for over a decade, first as a promoter in her native Belgium and then working for different labels and booking agencies in Berlin where she is now based.

Luz has collected records across genres for many years and started Dj-ing in 2012 with a special focus on building narratives through sound at the intersection of house, techno, electro, bass, and everything in between. Since then, the selector has played at international clubs like Golden Pudel in Hamburg, ://about-blank, Tresor and Griesmuhle in Berlin and La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris. She is doing her Panorama bar debut for CTM festival in February 2018.

Luz hosts a monthly Room 4 Resistance radio show alongside Doc Sleep and will be broadcasting from Radio Quantica beginning February 2018.
